My Dell SL2740 (27 inch 1920x1080 IPS) screen is now displaying everything, including its OSD, with a red tint. My other screen's fine. I'm using a different power adapter (the screen comes with an external one), but one that meets the 12v/5amper specs. I tried two different such adapters. Using Win 10 and powering with a GTX 1070. Can't seem to find anything relevant on Google. Any ideas? Is the screen borked? It's out of warranty by 3 months.

It might be the cable. Have you tried changing that? Otherwise, I would suspect the monitor. Is there anyway to reset that to factory settings?

Does the OSD have a red tint even with no cable attached? If so then I'd really suspect the monitor is where the issue lies. Doing a factory reset is a good idea, too, as previously suggested.

Yeah, if your OSD is just as tinted, it's the internal cabling in the monitor. If you don't mind potentially breaking it, smack it a few times. But chances are, the issue will reoccur. Edit: Obviously, "smack it" is a "before it ends up in the garbage" kinda solution. DOOMocrat fucked around with this message at 21:14 on Jan 30, 2017 |
