Yesterday, the Mighty Northwestern Wildcat, pilloried in the press by clueless people in the sports media, faced erroneous predictions that they would be destroyed by the weak and feeble Pittsburgh Panthers because they won fewer games than them and also lost 9-7 to not only an FCS team, but a profoundly lovely FCS team and got to six wins by beating up on the shittiest Big Ten schools you can imagine. Pitt, on the other hand, bested Playoff Team Clemson on the road and Big Ten Champion and If You Ask Them They Should be In the Playoffs, But We Stopped Asking Them About Anything Because of You Know Penn State. The game, played in a frigid and miserable Yankee Stadium, also favored Pitt because the last time Northwestern played in a baseball stadium, they got shithoused by Ron Zook and were only allowed to use one endzone. But they were wrong. Instead, Justin Jackson ran all over them, the defense forced four turnovers and a goal line stand, and also managed to not get flagged for a couple of brutal helmet-to-helmet hits that took out Pitt's quarterback and inspirational senior cancer survivor running back and at the end of the game, it was Northwestern's fans celebrating on the field with the Steinbrenner family in their officially-sanctioned Pinstripe Bowl merchandise.

Here's some more exciting information about the Pinstripe Bowl

-Justin Jackson's 224 yards were not enough for the Pinstripe Bowl record, set by Indiana's Davine Redding, and if you got a bowl game where records are being set by awesome Indiana and Northwestern dudes, that is a great bowl game.

-Northwestern's seniors won their second bowl game. This was only the third bowl victory in the history of Northwestern.

-Pat Fitzgerald spent a significant amount of his press conference time getting angry at some ESPN guy for picking them last in his confidence pool and made that the last video Northwestern players saw, which is extremely funny and only would have been dumber if it involved Steven A. Smith.

-Look at this poo poo:

Please use this thread to post about your favorite memories of the Pinstripe Bowl or to get unreasonably excited about your team winning their lovely bowl game.

Sucks that the Pitt starting QB and star RB both got hurt. And that we lost.

And that we don't have a defense.

Thank you the most Northern and Western of Wild Cat for making my day marginally better by beating Pitt.
