I think guns are okay. I don't own one but I can respect the right of those who choose to. However, there are some people out there who love guns. Like, they really, really love guns. They love guns a lot. Their love of guns is so deep, in fact, that they can expertly identify every single firearm ever shown at any point in a given movie, TV show, anime or video game, and they're all posted here on the Internet Movie Fire Arms Database: http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Main_Page There's a lot of very good pages here. Here's one I'm reading right now http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Borat:_Cultural_Learnings_of_America_for_Make_Benefit_Glorious_Nation_of_Kazakhstan

I feel like the website needs more wood paneling and the scent of pine air fresheners. Weird that they replaced the guns in E.T., but this site has got you covered. http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/E.T.:_The_Extra-Terrestrial

I found out about this site a few Christmases ago when I was bingeing on a Cannon movie set I got and had questions. Creepy but useful if you ever wanted to write a book and needed to know what gun was used by Charles Bronson in Death Wish 4 but didn't want to say 'he used that gun that Bronson used in Death Wish 4, you know, the snipey one.'

Didn't Death Wish 3 save a gun company single handedly and made a gun sell whenever it was replayed on TV

The firearm was integral to a large number of scenes from the Charles Bronson film Death Wish 3. (In real life, the gun was Bronson's personal pistol.) The appearance is credited with increasing Wildey sales enough to rescue the company from a near collapse and bankruptcy. Founder Wildey J. Moore says that every time Death Wish 3 is aired on cable TV, sales spike.

The Smith & Wesson Model 29 was basically discontinued until Dirty Harry came out. Sales would then spike every time a new Dirty Harry movie came out, immediately followed by a flood of Model 29s on the second-hand market because shooting .44 Magnum hurts your hands like a motherfucker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj1y-bx_p30
