For how important genes and genetics is to the entire story and character motivations in MGS1, you'd think someone on the writing team would've... I dunno, read a little bit about genetics.

I think the official word on this is "Liquid doesn't know what he's talking about". Considering how Big Boss can be sometimes, I could believe it's genetic...

Liquid just mindlessly accepts what other people tell him about his genetics. It's not his fault, really, he lacks the dominant 'critical thinking' gene.

I'll drive! Mission Log   Liquid still stands strong in front of Snake who successfully destroyed Metal Gear. Liquid has been used as sacrifice for the creation of Snake as the superior clone of Big Boss. Liquid, with all the resentment, challenges Snake for a final battle on top of the destroyed Metal Gear. Meanwhile, the Secretary of Defense has ordered an air raid of the base. Campbell tried to stop the air raid, but is arrested. Liquid activated a time bomb before the approaching moment of doom. The final battle has begun.   After winning the battle, Snake finally rescues Meryl. Before they have a chance to enjoy the moment, the US Air Force air raid starts shaking the base. Otacon deactivated security along the escape route. Snake and Meryl use the escape route to attempt to flee from the collapsing underground.    OR   Snake wins the battle and gets Meryl back, but Meryl is already dead. Snake's anguished scream echoes in the underground base. Snake is now determined to survive for Meryl. The air raid of the US Air Force has begun. Snake and Otacon attempt to escape from the collapsing underground base.    I don't know what to say other than how weird it feels to actually have this finished. Thanks everyone for watching! For the most of you who know the twist ending already, be sure to check out the end of the 26-1 video to hear Blindcat lose it. I'm not 100% done though, I still have a bonus video I'm working on for the New Game+ as well as one remaining surprise. Then, it's on to the sequel!

Thanks for the LP. Followed it from the start and always looked forward to more updates, even though I'm pretty familiar with the game I still learned new things! Hope you do MGS2 one day, though I imagine that's quite a lot more effort.
