I decided to go hitchhiking in June. I made it to Vermont for Rainbow Nationals, spent 3 days in Manhattan (my second time there; first time was in '07, when I stayed as a guest of the global chief economist of Lehman Bros... I caught lunch with him while I was visiting on this trip), caught a bus to Cleveland for the RNC (where I camped a week at Kirtland Park), caught rides to Philadelphia (camping a week at FDR Park during the DNC), spent about a month back in my hometown (South Bend, IN - you probably heard about our Butt Mayor; we went to high school together, he follows my adventures), made my way out to Standing Rock for 14 weeks or so before fleeing on Dec 8th; from there we drove to L.A. to drop off another Water Protector and made our way up the coast to Bellingham, WA, where I stayed 2 weeks; from there, got in another vehicle and drove cross-country to Brooklyn (where I attended #DJ20 planning meetings, including one anarchist meeting that was infiltrated by some alt-right hidden camera), then caught a train in to DC where I spent a week organizing and protesting the Inauguration (I marched with the Bloc, then danced in Franklin Park). This was my third time in D.C.; I'd attended the 'Over 9000 Man March' in 2008, and the Reason Rally in 2016.
