has anyone played streets of rogue? it sounds fun (esp co-op) but I'm kind of burned out on pixelated humourous roguelites and it's early access lol

i think it's pretty cool. the humor is very bad, but easy to ignore. it captures the deus-ex feeling pretty well, given the format, imo

it might be your CPU bottlenecking it? you should turn on some onscreen overlays in Afterburner to see what's throttling things

My GPU is the weak link so I don't think so but I'll try this out. Thanks

humble bundle is having their store sale now, their selection isn't as good as steam, but their games are drm free and the sales can get a lot deeper considering you get a cumulative 10% off if you're a monthly subscriber and you can get 5% cash back if you fiddle around with your account preferences.

I bought The Surge. It's no DS3 but it's fairly fast paced and pretty fun. I got killed by a cyber-Manikin.

this is one of the only posts in this forum about this game, found it searching. Just played this at a buddies and it seems kinda awesome. There's some cheap stuff that undercuts some of the basic design of a Souls-like (like healing not having an animation and you can do it while you're in a "being damaged" animation") and the finishing moves can make yourself invulnerable to other enemies during the duration. I mean of course DS has that too but those require parryin or position, but in this it snaps you into it from a pretty forgiving distance. But I like the speed of it a lot and all the enemies are basically Bloodborne hunters aka they move like you and have similar attack speeds and the limb targeting system is really really cool. I wanna pick it up next time it's cheap since I just missed the sale

Yeah, SWAT4 is such a great game. I loved trapping an enemy in a room by putting wedges/doorstops under each door, then try alerting/spooking them with gunfire.
Shame they haven't re-released it on Steam

Fair warning the game feels like a search for a shortcut back to the bonfire OPS till the end. But combat is super fun.
