Kira has no ability to process justice. Kira's entire ascension is based exclusively on the expansion of the existing justice system by furthering prosecution by criminal means. Kira also has no ability to claim his enterprise is a security because he must be present as witness everywhere to effect the terms he expects, because Kira himself must be present in body in order to wield the Death Note. Kira is not resourceful. He a weak and childish fiend who is easily tempted by his contempt with very limited means and a derisive discretion that he expects as a degree of Godliness. Kira has no guard. He is unable to defend against any crime and must rely on his tyranny of fear, false trial and belief in that he can retain a reporting structure to which he can continue to serve convictions. Kira worships an Insane Clown Idiot God who has the worst taste in apples.

I just kinda accept how dumb and poorly handled Light's early mistakes are because there really isn't a great way for L to figure out anything about him other than that he's likely Japanese without them, barring L suddenly gaining actual psychic powers.

Just like that flammable gas chamber he improvised for the Death Note for "safe keeping" in that very fickle pretense of security? Pretending as if an exploding desk isn't suspicious?

or how he's basically perfectly cool and rational about who he kills until fake L shows up on TV and just basically says "yeah killing is bad" and then Light just kinda snaps completely and murders the dude with zero thought or how after spending weeks taking incredible measures to avoid getting busted by the police/FBI surveillance and after they're finally about to just move on (which he doesn't know admittedly) he just decides he's gonna murder Raye Penber and like a dozen other FBI agents- thinking that all of them dying won't instantly place a greater focus on the people they were currently investigating

The entire investigation team being deployed against Light dispels the idea that he can be ruling class. Light uses a loose and hasty system of judgement and all his attempts to use the Note fail. Light has no penchant for soul and left unchecked would devolve into the most formidable depravity. ~ Besides, who really wanted to see the end of everyone's favorite investigator? He may have appeared a bit awkward but he seems very straightforward and compatible. Notax fucked around with this message at 01:21 on Aug 6, 2017 |
