Looks like 28C isotherm hits at about 30N and 26C isotherm is pretty close to Japan coastline. Wind shear and wind shear tendency look healthy up through landfall at this point. I'm not sure if it manages to make landfall as a super typhoon but it's going to carry the storm surge of one either way. Japan is in for a hell of a Monday.

I haven't heard any news from Ireland, so I can only assume the island was completely obliterated by Hyper Hurricane Ophelia? Another island nation destroyed while everyone else carries on like nothing happened.
