That probably sounds cool if you've played the game but to people who haven't, it sounds like a pure rear end situation my man. 3+ days in the game takes about an hour. You chipped away at a thing's HP for an hour? For nothing? It sounds stupid. But he's right. It's actually epic.

Just reading that post made me want to reinstall and do another playthrough for the second time this year

last time I quit was because I was doing speedrun mode and the game crashed right after I finished the escort mission to take the hydra head to Gransys. It wasn't a rage quit situation, I just never felt like playing it anymore after getting pretty much everything I could out of Bitterblack Isle

I got to the mini-dragon in the clearing. I think I could probably wear it down right now if I prepared wanted to, but it immediately roasted two of my pawns. Is there any actual penalty for pawns dying?

I have the mod that gives you no stamina loss when sprinting and a bigger carry weight and i gotta say, it helps a lot. Still kinda wish the game had fast travel though.

it..it does...you get it minutes into the game and find items that let you set custom fast travel points, and major towns have them by default

Changing your carry weight in games where it's governed by a stat you can increase (I forget if it works like that in DD) is mad AIDS, IMO.

It's based off your STR I believe and there are several augments that let you carry more or act like you're a lower weight class.

If you're playing the PC version as soon as you get to Gran Soren there's an item in your storage called the Eternal Ferrystone. It's a tool that lets you fast travel to Cassardis, Gran Soren and Bitterblack island. In other versions ferrystones are a consumable item.

There are also several items scattered across Gransys called Portcrystals that you can place almost anywhere on the overworld as a fast travel point. You find the first one at the bottom of the Everfall the first time you go there.

Carry weight is based off how tall and fat you make your guy in character creation. Height/weight also affect running speed, climbing speed, stamina regen, knockback resist, all kinds of stuff

The Eternal Ferrystone is probably in the PS4 version as well but I haven't played it.

i will say that constantly having to offload stuff/give it to pawns to make sure i was moving well got old really fast

The augment that lets you carry more to stay in certain weight classes makes the very light/light section so big that it's a non issue

I'm a GENERAL, not some opera floozy!
Yeah body size is a pretty serious stat to consider if you're trying to minmax. Typically I make my own guy normal or slightly small, and my pawn a huge beefcake to carry all the heavy poo poo.

I had a hard time getting into this on PS3 when we had the first dd thread and didn’t think I would finish it... then while searching for salamets grimoire I started the griffin hunt and while riding the griffin through the sky it threw me off and I landed directly on top of the tower at the bandit fort where the chest with the grimoire is kept and then i played 60 more hours
