Here we go to our polling station and state who we are and where we live (need to go to the correct polling station otherwise you can't vote there) and then we get given a slip of paper with our options and are instructed to mark the box of the candidate we want to vote for. Then we put it into the box and it goes off to be counted at an official site by a bunch of people. America using machines for it is stupid as gently caress and you deserve all the hacked elections you get lol

Honestly you COULD get by with a mixed system pretty well. Electronic machine but it also prints out an official ballot for the voter to look over and confirm "yup the machine is saying i voted for who i voted for" and that gets kept and then a certain portion of polling stations get their paper ballots checked to see if they match what the machine reported. Some just in general but also anywhere close.
