Among other repercussions, United States Soccer Federation President Sunil Gulati, whom has held the position since 2006 (and had never faced a challenger ever in elections for the presidency), declined to seek re-election. Supported by Thierry Henry and David Beckham.  Hope Solo Former USWNT member. Beat the poo poo out of her family once.  Michael Winograd Lawyer and former A-Leaguer. Probably has a dead body in his shed.  Eric Wynalda Former USMNT member, current analyst for Fox Sports. Supported by NASL folk. The election will take place on February 10th at the National Council Meeting during the U.S. Soccer Annual Meeting. There are a total of 1,135 votes distributed among five councils (youth, adult, professional, player's, and everyone else) and it takes 568 votes to win. If no one receives 568 votes on the first ballot, then a run-off occurs.
