Its failed in just about every territory, surely going f2p in a market that can barely support a few MMOs under the deluge of BRs will be the thing that keeps the servers running

This has to be the fastest Buy-To-Play to F2P I've seen. 5 months. They had to walk out of their quarterly meeting and just flipped the switch then and there.
