French Goons I hope that the protests are still continuing on and gaining in fervor and militancy even as the government tries to use the Roni as a bludgeon against the people. Godspeed and let the 2nd Commune rise

I could honestly see them doing a proper inquiry if it gives them the chance to gently caress with the macronists. Trust those bastards to try to shank their number 1 rivals when they look weak. In other news : it's recession time! quote:Coronavirus : le PIB s’effondre de 6 %, la France est entrée en récession Number isn't doing so hot

Remember the innocent times of getting all pissy at the gilet jaunes when the 4 star hotels in Paris were seeing a little drop in bookings. If only they took that poo poo seriously back in January. e: I wonder if it's going to kneecap the Paris real estate market for a few months, that would be a real tragedy. unpacked robinhood has issued a correction as of 09:56 on Apr 8, 2020 |

Looks like this thread is relevant again since we're having a retread of the 2005 riots. This time it started with a motorcycle rider getting "accidentally" sent to the hospital by plainclothes police. Popular response pictured below: https://twitter.com/loran076/status/1252864612866768896?s=20 https://twitter.com/Conflits_FR/status/1252891630073413632?s=20 https://twitter.com/TaoualitAmar/status/1252724963477340160 https://twitter.com/youssramstr/status/1252764794672812033?s=20 https://twitter.com/BBR4369/status/1252753409314377729?s=20 The 2005 riots lasted 3 weeks, the current situation has only just entered day 4. Not sure how the lockdown will factor in this, it's clearly energized some rioters to vent their anger at the police but it might also be used to justify extra-violent blue interventions.

They're not in any danger of losing on a budget vote or anything important, though. At least IMO.

Good afternoon Kebab Zone, I hope everybody stayed safe during the pandemic. Now that summer is here and we're slowly warming up to our favorite national pastime, I wanted to share some really gorgeous pictures from Serge D'Ignazio with you. They're in no specific order, some of these are from 2019 and some are from the recent BLM protests: The guy clearly deserves more views so feel free to browse: serge D'ignazio, on Flickr I think June 16th is the next big date in the agenda, most medical personnel will be out in the streets across the country. Here's the list: https://www.facebook.com/events/860345131116813/ The Paris protest starts at St Lazare, 11am. I've taken the day off to join and I'm sure all the 8pm clappers will too. Just kidding, most will vote LREM in 2022 lol

There's a list of police killings between 2005 and 2015 here that being maintained by the families: http://www.urgence-notre-police-assassine.fr/123663553 (including quite a few people dying of strangulation) As for the protests and marches you can get a decent idea here: https://paris.demosphere.net/search?search=violence+polici%C3%A8re&allset=1&event-date=past&only-title=on&firstItem=0&itemsPerPage=1000 So probably between 200 and 250 since 2007 but that's obviously not including what happened in 2005 with Zyed and Bouna. Also pretty much every major protest nowadays has it's share of open anti-police sentiment.

Fear not, citizens : the police will continue to have the right to strangle you. https://twitter.com/Brevesdepresse/status/1271296228253470722 Who wants to bet they'll keep the tasers too? Edit: Oh yeah, also there's this https://twitter.com/lemondefr/status/1271112178368643073 Poor cop couldn't possibly have known that he risked hitting anybody when he shot a grenade at a residential building. Glanced at the front page of Libération and looks like the Marconists are getting blown out almost everywhere along with huge wins by the Greens. Unfortunate RN win in Perpignan.
