In the years I have been online I went from "do not believe anything anyone on the Internet says" in 1992 (thanks, IRC) to "stop being so cynical, people generally want to help" in 2002 (thanks, Wikipedia) and back to "do not believe anything anyone on the Internet says" in 2012 (thanks, literally everything)
