2nd Platoon We need to be putting up a wall of fire while also staying alive long enough to hold back this assault. If the shells start falling directly on our position, HIDE the HQ teams and LMGs. Otherwise, target specific mans in the two patches of woods north of the river, prioritizing HQ units, LMG/HMG teams, and lastly anyone with SMGs. Anyone who can't hit a prioritized unit should target the area where they last saw a dude and blast away. This feels like a weapons free situation so any grenading, satcheling of nearby groups, or general explodery that would disrupt or kill the enemy please employ liberally. No sense saving ammo at this stage. Panzershreks I'm not sure how best to make this work, but it seems like area fire isn't working, for whatever reason. Let's make sure we produce some explosions this round! To that end, I'd like to try to shreck individual dudes and see if that's more effective. TARGET the first guy you can (avoiding friendly fire!), prioritizing HQ teams if multiple targets appear. Switch targets after you get a shot off, let's spread the love around a little if we can. The "target briefly" command might work better here but i'm unclear. Use your best judgement. If these jerks still haven't fired by the last round, try a BLAST command in their general area?

Executive Summary: We have held them off on all fronts, but morale is starting to collapse as the fight gets thick, ammo is running out in the north by the creek, and there's a loving nightmare barrage on the closest trench. This should be pretty dramatic for observers. It's going to be a close thing to see if they can rush enough people into town in the last 14 minutes to make it to the church. Wow that went way better than I thought it would. I am legit shocked they didn't manage to over-run the north East, their own morale must be in the pits as you can see them just turn around and run behind the slope whenever they take fire. I think right now the biggest concern is the sneak around the south, it seems like at least two intact squads have made it to the south forest and there's not much between them and the objective.

Tiger orders Keep shooting mans. I don't have any better ideas than to leave the Tiger where it is right now holding off the north east. Maybe that allows us to divert a few infantry to watch the south. EDIT: If the north east attack fails or significantly slows down or the south seems to be making a heavy push relocate to the south here and engage enemy infantry, Glynn I'll leave the determination of when to relocate the Tiger up to you. It's really our last line of defense if any of the many many prongs of the soviet assault manage to make it there, the Mortar teams I have around it aren't all that good at actually fighting and nobody else can make it.

By mutual agreement of the team commanders, we will lengthen the rounds to speed the end of the match. The next round (about 24 hours from now) will be four minutes. Rounds afterwards will be 5 minutes. Let me know if you need an extension to prepare for the longer round tomorrow.

That sort of thing can really maximize our effectiveness and avoid wasted turns. Both our tiger and our infantry might have situations where an enemy attack peters out, but another one becomes dangerous, so it could be valuable to think about a list of priorities of action, what express broadly what units want to achieve.

Heavy Weaps and South Stragglers Basically those not actively engaged (right now, perhaps only the north-west HMG) try fall back to form a final defensive perimeter around the church. The rest are to engage the enemy at your discretion. The HMG team in the NE should fall back if you think they can make it (and they aren't too tired) without getting shot to bits but otherwise get them back into the fight.

More turns! I skipped some videos where their battered, fatigued guys might have traded fire with our battered, fatigued guys but nothing much happened. tldr: The tiger commander was pretty lucky to be OPEN almost the whole time and not get splatted, it unleashed the fury on an HQ and MG sitting next to each other on the hill, but didn't get much else done. The pushed hard on the town edge from the NE woods and might have gotten one tank crewman just outside a building, but we repulsed them pretty effectively, for now. They continue to press units all over the map to try to rush the church. Popete, get the Tiger into a central position where it can engage the Russians coming into town. The tan field of the crossroads by the church would both be good positions. For safety, buttoning up would be wise. Infantry, for those of you running low on ammo hold your fire and save your ammo for the final assault. If you have ammo, you're free to keep burning it up with the TARGET command, just make sure you're hitting the latest Russian positions.

Tiger orders Move the tiger along the yellow line to near the church. Set a target light arc facing east along the green lines. Prioritise shooting HQ and MG units if they are available. I think the tiger has only 1-2 HE shells left but it will engage with AP shells once they run out. AP shells actually do a pretty decent job against infantry in buildings because they can penetrate the well and burst inside the building cavity so you may as well let the tiger try with them. I don't think it's even possible to set a target light arc anyway - just Target and Target armor.

I think the only real danger is that they get a healthy, largely complete squad in close and can gain local fire superiority and push in. But I think we have enough tiny units with smgs spread around to hold even that off for just 5 minutes. And really, unless the tiger becomes immobile, it's a trump card.

Good game team! I apologize to the Soviets for my videos which are just gameplay and no voiceover or embelishment. I was extremely too lazy/short of time to do the learning to accomplish that. EDIT: Some end of battle stats! I also went unit-to-unit to get kill totals (in green on at the bottom left of the map). Highlighting Hero Ammo Bearer: But everything is in this album.
