I really would like to have them remake 1 and 2 in a 3D engine. Fallout 3, NV, 4 and 76 are all fine. They've fixed a lot of the problems with 76 in the past year and it's a lot more fun. I... hadn't actually thought of that, but it would explain the mindset of the people who seemed to hate every game in the series but still considered themselves fans. Just straight up comparing every game to their idolized mental image of what Van Buren would have been like. No wonder they hate every game if they had to compete with that.

Oh not at all, I think Tactics is super solid, I kind of wish they remade the first two games in the same engine or at least made a fully fleshed out sequel with more of the branching dialogue and choices prevalent in the previous games.

FO:Tactics wasn't a bad game but it also wasn't the thing everyone at the time wanted which was Fallout 3. ...And the game falls apart on the third Act unless you make a build that can use heavy weapons or you over-invested in the energy weapons to reliably get critical hits.
