Smasher Dynamo
Oct 16, 2008

Eternal Commissioner of the Super League. A new avatar. A new age, of the same old embittered Smasher that failed to escape the bonds of the SL, FM3, Johnny Hopp and Eri Yoshida "The Knuckle Princess". "The flames of Smasher's ire scorch the skies... Igniting St. Bellhorn's funeral pyre."

The Super-League is about making a fake baseball team. Also, failure. It is mainly about failure. There are going to be somewhere between 40 and 50 teams competing in the two divisions of the Super-League. Exactly one of them is going to be the Super-League Champion of Super-League XXVIII. Even all things being equal, your team would have something like a 2.5% chance of winning.

But that assumes that you can, at the outset, create an outstanding team that is, from day one, capable of holding its own against the established powers of the Super-League, and that is unlikely to the extreme.

In fact, odds are, your new team is going to die after a single season, culled to make room for new teams, with brighter fortunes.

The Super-League is not a game for instant gratification. It is a game of frustration, perseverance, cunning, and, ultimately, deep-seated hatred of your fellow human beings.

There, now don't say I didn't give you fair warning.

So, pick teams, do your best, and, if you want or need more advice or guidance, go to the Super-League Discord.

Dammit, that Kozma feeder is so tempting, but it's also Adam Wainwright's TJS year where he didn't appear in a single game.

So...

I had a team in Supers League I and II (i made the playoffs in I, then lost 100+ games and wandered off in II), so I'll only pick 11 points on the basis of 'ooh i know some of those guys'

the team will be a resuscitated Senadores de San Juan; please let me know if you need a new 150x150 image.

i'll pick players later. it'll be nice to see the people i specifically drafted after seeing the names of fail

edit: ok here's some poo poo i googled. i lost the actual image long ago, and that's probably how i found it in the first place anyway.
here's a beautifully pixelated logo:
