It's real autographs because if it was a print it wouldnt reek of sweat.

Dunno what its worth. I just wanted a regual ol WWWF shirt and the only one i could find was this one. The guy on ebay sold it to me for 300 dollars which was very nice of him but he undersold by a lot. Was gonna post it in the WWE thread but i think its worth its own.

First of all, I'm not worthy of owning this as I only recognize 3-5 names on it. I don't even know how the guy who had it ever got it. Like, I can't even find a regular piece of original WWWF merchandise, and here comes one in mint condition with autographs from the biggest stars in wrestling history(and others). It's weird having it in my house. I consider my autograph of the creator of newgrounds.com to be my "thing my kid is gonna destroy" heirloom. This one is confounding in that neither of my parents know the value of it and in turn, neither do I. Maybe it really is only worth 300 dollars? It's got Andre the Giants autograph on it. And I think showing it to Cody Rhodes(his dad's name is on it) or Vince Mcmahon(his dad owned the company) would shock either of em, but I've never even met either of em.

i'm the real Drew McIntyre, and a lot of those signatures are from my dear friends who have since passed on. it would be a great way for me to remember our times together on the road. if you send me the shirt, i'll make sure you get free WWE tickets the next time we come to your area.

judging from the talents that signed it it looks like it was probably autographed in 1977-1978. Sammartino was on the odd card here and there, Backlund was the top guy in the company, you have Larry Zbyszko before he would depart the company, mainstays Greg Valentine, Ken Patera, Stan Stasiak is still on here, Billy Graham hasnt left the company yet, Dino Bravo would just be starting out here, Dusty was finishing up before going back to Florida around this time...

i mean its also possible that this was signed at conventions after the fact but the andre and dino bravo autographs makes me doubt it.

Thats very convincing if it is a lie.

Thanks for the history lesson. And nice to meet you.

Your second paragraph checks out with a vibe I got from it.

Drew, I wanna be a wrestler. I have a handful of dream careers, and thats one of em.

Stone cold, the new info youve shared makes me think its real, and the guy who sold it to me just thought it was an old t-shirt.

That borders "murderabilia" these days.

He was my favorite wrestler as a kid. Of course I really like the rock and triple h(hated him but kids make great marks) and the underaker, but Benoit wasn't talked about on the schoolyard much.

I know and I'm very upset or happy.

Thing is, the seller has a ton of overpriced t-shirts from the 70s and 80s. I'ma look to see if I can find the one I have without autographs.

edit: already found a copy/clone but the neck isnt the same.

That tells us it's definitely the year it was said to have been. Still don't know if the autographs are real. If they aren't, so be it. Nonetheless I wanna know.

even if i was "ripped off" it wasnt by much.

The reason it's hard for me to tell is because the ink is still very well preserved. The neck and sleeves are faded but the logo isnt, either.

I'm very careful about spending more than 20 dollars on something.

I'm starting to think the shirt was worn by people who worked for the company and never sold as merchandise. since I might not even find it(with or without autographs) on this collection of wrestling shirts site, I'ma put my wwe.com subscription to good use and look for it in old recordings.

edit(again): you know what how bout we turn this into a good ol goon treasure hunt. Winner gets an avatar cert and a drawing of their favorite wrestler.

I got burnt out after 2 hours of looking. Turns out I've been friends with a mutual buddy of Greg Valentine on facebook for a while, so I sent him a request.

Grimey Drawer
I collect autographs because I知 a dumb poo poo. I知 far from an expert on this, though.

I知 slightly dubious of those being real autos and not being lithographs. My reasoning is that it looks like those signatures are directly on the fabric rather than something screen printed. If you look up any autographed jersey on eBay, they値l always sign on the numbers screen printed onto the fabric, rather than the fabric itself. I would also think this would make it harder to sign, thus resulting in larger signatures than usual and making it hard to stack autos together like that.

I could totally be wrong. If it was screen printed, I would expect the autos to not feel like fabric with ink in it but screen printing.

There痴 groups that authenticate autographs if you want to go that route.

It is a rad shirt regardless.

Those are lithographs but I feel like the shirt still has some historical value. I'd have to dig through old magazine scans for merch listings to see if it was a fan facing shirt or something internal.

even though i am very tall and scary on television, that's just a character i portray. in reality i am very short, sweet, friendly, and mild-mannered, and i like t-shirts, and getting things for free. i'm always playing Pokemon backstage with famous WWE Superstars like Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Headbangers. after you send me the t-shirt, just go to the box office the next time the WWE is in town, and tell them Drew McIntyre sent you.

OP is gone but for an old and stained shirt the autos are suspiciously very high quality. I think the one at the bottom is Dominic Denucci? That's the only one that has me wondering "Ehhh maybe that one might be something?" - but that's only because it's slightly faded.

Even if they are actually written with some type of sharpie, I have reservations about a lot of them. Just looking up guys like Bruno, Andre, Dusty, Koloff, and such - the signatures don't exactly line up with what you could find on the market.

If you think it's a cool piece, keep it. If you were banking on autos being real though, I'd immediately check with a service that can verify and then take advantage of ebays BUYERS HAVE ALL THE POWER policy and return it for your money back.
