So what? You can't prove I posted that.

Commander Keene posted:

Maybe check the encoding on the video? If your recording or encoding software decided to change the encoder on you to something lossy, it could've resulted in some artifacting. Also check the bitrate on your recordings, make sure that hasn't changed.

Bitrate seems to be the same, and I'm still using my lossless encoding to record with, so nothing's changed there. I don't think the issue is in the recording because my screenshots come out oversized even when I use previous recordings. I checked that early on as well

That being said, I figured it was between VLC or Irfanview being the problem as the resulting logic means the problem happens somewhere within "Viewing Video -> Screenshot". I'd entirely forgotten up until now that VLC has a screenshot feature, so I tested it and what would you know, VLC returns the tiny images.

So, it seems Irfanview is the culprit of this crime. As to why, I have no drat clue-

Oh. Hm.

Right.

At some point I must've changed this off of 6 while forgetting that it would unintentionally gently caress up the filesize. I don't know why having "no compression" set creates artifacts, but whatever. I must have forgotten one day and changed it. Well, thanks again for helping out, you two!

I'll have the next update ready sometime this week. I won't give a more precise date than that, because as soon as I do, something's going to pop up and destroy my schedule.

I spent a ton of time on Friends of Mineral Town. I'm enjoying seeing an older entry in the series.
