I started this idea in the AEW thread and didn't want to get it cluttered up with other AEW discussion, so here's a fresh thread! Rest assured those of you who already voted in the other thread got their votes counted. This is not based on "who I want to win" or "my dumb TEW save," but rather who are you expecting the bookers to belt up for this year, based on current storyline progression and potential future pushes. Jericho, Riho, and SCU enter 2020 as the current champions and are obviously ineligible right now, so I'll get them out of the way first. Will Chris Jericho, Riho, or SCU stay champions for all of 2020? Answer with a yes/no for each With the promotion still young we don't really have a sense for how they'll book title reigns yet. Will they prefer long-term champs over multiple PPV cycles or even a whole year, or take a more play-by-ear approach depending on who gets hot? Revolution in late February could tell us a lot about those plans, since that seems like the right time for title changes. They've also done multiple title defenses on TV, possibly planting the seeds for an unexpected new champion to be crowned on Dynamite. Either way, I feel like these have all been good champions and wouldn't be surprised if they held their belts past February. Now to the real meat of this game. I'll try to include the questions in an easy copy/paste format and tally the results before next week's Dynamite. Jon Moxley: 16 Chris Jericho: 6 PAC: 1 The consensus here lines up pretty well with the current booking direction, with all signs pointing toward Mox taking the belt at Revolution and holding it for most of the year. Remember, folks: Predictable doesn't always mean bad, Jericho/Mox has been a great feud and I think the PPV will draw well with the expected coronation of Mox. Who he drops the belt to is another story, but the top two answers were his biggest rivals and it makes sense for either of them to get a shot (and possibly win in the fall). I think that was a win on both accounts. Even if they hadn't won the titles, the amount of answers here just shows how absurdly deep the tag team division is, with tons of credible contenders and fan favorites. Also it's cute that some people still think the Revival are leaving the fed. Thanks to everyone who participated! This was a fun little experiment.
