I mentioned this in the old GBS fast food thread, but I want to get more feedback on this. This is the pricing on McNuggets at my local Mcdonalds: As you can see, there's a HUGE problem here. This the cost per nugget based on what quantity you ordered: 4 piece: .25 per nugget 6 piece: .33 per nugget 10 piece: .43 per nugget 20 piece: .27 per nugget This is totally hosed up. It's cheaper to buy 5 4-piece nuggets than one 20 piece. The ten piece is almost DOUBLE the cost per nugget than the 4. I need to know if this insanity is nationwide. If you can, please screen shot and post the nugget costs in the McDonalds app. If you can mention your state or city (whatever you're comfortable with) it would be appreciated as well.

$5 for 20 here in WI. They've been that way since forever. The menu doesn't list them that way tho, it lists 10 for $3.29 or something with no 20 piece option. You just order em and it comes up as 5 buxxxx.

Shame tax. You don't want to be the person who gets 20 nugs for themselves, so you pay a ridiculous amount for ten or six. Or you get a 4 for your 3 year old

The 6 piece being 3.50 more than 4 is more hosed up to me than the 10 vs 20.

Mcds is always like this. It's not that the 4pc is cheaper, its that its on sale, always on sale.

If a sale lasts forever, is it a sale? A question for the philosophers.

Sometimes the 10 piece are 2 for $5 so I order two and the lady rings it up as a 20 piece which comes as two 10 pieces but costs $5,69. The price of nuggets is also different at the 3 closest locations to me.

Four: 37¢/nug Six: 33¢/nug Ten: 46¢/nug Twenty: 30¢/nug The ten-piece is an outlier here in Pittsburgh (specifically East Liberty). Otherwise it almost makes sense. edit: Another McDonald's less than a mile away has the Twenty Piece for 6.99 (35¢/nug) instead of 5.99. I never even considered that the prices would be different. at the one here, it's cheaper to buy a sausage cheese biscuit ($1.30) and an egg biscuit ($1.99) than it is to buy a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit ($3.59). And then you get an extra biscuit!

At mine you can buy either 2 mcchickens for $1.49 each, or do the 2 for 3 deal and get them for $1.50 each.
