Purging Kulaks: How Many Is Too Many? During the 20th century, Comrade Stalin was vexed by a problem not unique to Soviet society. In Ukraine wealthy peasants sought their own enrichment over the wellbeing of the people. They stockpiled their produce in a crude mockery of primitive accumulation, no doubt, hoping to one day become petite bourgeois and reestablish the corrupt capitalist system. To ensure the aforementioned wellbeing of the people, our beloved and benevolent Comrade Stalin had to do the unthinkable and utilize state force against their domestic enemies in Ukraine. Although the victory came at a cost, the inevitability of that cost mitigated the success of his mission. While under the old feudal order and even the capitalist order under the later Romanovs people of what became Union of Soviet Socialist Republics had to suffer through famine after famine, stretching back into antiquity, under Comrade Stalin’s miraculous nation there were no famines following the unfortunate but necessary purge. So this brings us back to the afore posed question: How many is too many? The wisdom of Comrade Stalin shows us that while the cost may be significant, the rewards of vigilance are simply priceless. The conclusion is that to have a prosperous workers state is to purge early and purge often.
