If you haven't read the GBS sticky (https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3928980), you should probably read the first page and then don't go too far because it's full of porno and goatse and whatnot. In short, Lowtax has been accused of harassment and abuse (again) and the entire mod and admin team are in agreement that we can't and wont continue to volunteer our time for him while he's still involved in the forums. I don't have some wild thought that this place will collapse without me, but I also don't want it to be deleted without at least attempting to save the little group that we've built up over the years. I encourage you to exchange twitter, email, discord names, etc with the users you want to stay in touch with. We do have a TRP discord, and if you pm me, Bea Nanner or omg huge crush on CHAD we'll send you a signup link. Ideally we can continue to post here and still feel good about ourselves, but it's not a guarantee. Keep an eye out for an admin announcement soon that'll hopefully have more info in it.
