BajaHAHAHA.

A PACKAGE HAS ARRIVED!

And what a bounty it contained!

IOT Smart plugs, control my stuff via smartphone!
A very nice set of trim removal tools, which will be a godsend for dealing with taking apart interiors, will definitely be less stressful than using metal tools and praying.
Assorted Sharpies!
:pcgaming:PIAA headlight bulbs (mismatched, ha!) :pcgaming:
An awesome tape measure that does self-lock, comes with high contrast neon yellow/green tape, and markings on both the front side and back of the tape.
All the brushes!
Grant racing wheel! (I think from being previously adapted for kart usage? It's a fairly small wheel at 12" and has some funky adapting going on in the back)
Rock auto magnets! (quite a few gems I might say too!)
Coiled airline hose!
Wood!
A roll of wall base moulding? (maybe?) It's rubbery and long (:dong:)
Springy metal coil!
Butt connectors!
A kick-rear end Leuchtturm 1917 notebook. A real treat!
Safety Glasses (goodbye safety squints!)

And least but not least an MSI N460GTX Hawk graphics card, with some thick fans for that O.C. life. (haven't tried it yet, does it work? I don't see any brown death on the board)

Thank you mystery goon! You seem to have forgotten a note, or at least I wasn't clever enough to find it yet...

The box does say 2/2 but this a ton of stuff so if 1/2 is still incoming, you have gone above and way way beyond!

I might actually be able to use the i7 engineering sample. I had been thinking about upgrading my only desktop and I think it has a similar vintage i5 so the CPU might be a drop in replacement.

Not likely, that looks like LGA1366 which was Xeon/i7 only. The lower end chips were on LGA1156 in that generation.

Yeah that is the case. My tv computer will remain slow for a bit longer.

In other news the poster that was mentioned in the letter arrived.

My workshop wall is slowly being covered up.

Got a delivery notification from USPS today. Hopefully it's not from the hazmat department saying "the moldy remains of your package had to be destroyed, here's your shipping lablel, lol." I got one of those.

IT IS NOT.

I am questioning the wisdom of letting a goon anywhere near a laser cutter. I trust alcohol was involved.

It had been so long, I forgot that this was en route. Dimensional portals may have been involved.

So I open the box (from the correct end) and: dickbutt.

Dickbutt. Dickbutts everywhere.

Everything packed in grocery sacks. The dickbutt fairy sprinkled them within. And without. Bet you thought it was funny. You don't know what funny is until static electricity made an appearance. In every bag.

mood.

And what a haul! A well thought-out potpourri!

Wasabi peas from Harris Teeter
What appears to be three printed items: the fuckyoutopus; a...I don't know what the gently caress it is, but the cube appears to violate several laws concerning space and physics. I will have to ingest interesting medication to work on it.

and...something I thought was a boomer-only thing: A ROUND TUIT! drat! I gave one of these to my sister for Christmas! In 1975! No one ever gave me one UNTIL NOW. Finally, my decades of procrastination are over! Yay!

And nothing to fuel that coming activity like a can of Spam Lite...yet another thing I had no idea existed. The can has suffered on its trip through the space-time continuum, or was dropped at the Menard's discount bin. It is none the worse for wear, and will be eaten the way I have always eaten Spam:
*opens can* Looks delish!
*takes a bite* Actually, quite tasty! surprising!
*takes a second helping* OK, we're done here.

- An APU for a '76 Honda Gold Wing! Christ, I haven't seen one of these in...forty years? Last time I worked on Honda 4-banger? Looks to be excellent, may take your advice, since only the insane ride ponies in NJ.

And then, a handy bean light from Harbor Freight. I have one of these. The idea is good; I am in the process of preparing my Bonneville to be re-painted, and found the battery-powered lighting I had to be, let's say, lacking. Literally yesterday , I was cursing this exact light for it's feeble output.

I had no idea that this thing could be modded this way: pumping 1800ma through it - HOLY poo poo

I have to figure out how to recharge the thing (inside of a cinderblock, first off). Then, I gotta mod my old one. It's a game changer.

Last but by no means least, three examples of North Carolina's finest. I was still on the clock, or I might've cracked one straightaway. Will furnish a trip report on these babies.

I spents a good half-hour collecting thousands of tiny dickbutts...and corralled them:

Saving these beauties.

This was a lovely and thoughtful Season's Greetings. And what fabulous penmanship!

Thank you! Merry AIxmas!

I can print you one. Translucent red? Black? Translucent blue?

Also, PoC, that's amazing. Well done babyeatingpsycho!

Oh man. Translucent blue would be amazing, as the Jeep is blue and it would very much live permanently on the dash.

You gotta stop doing nice stuff for me, I might get the wrong idea

Seriously, babyeatingpsycho, good job. That's got to be the highest dickbutt:object ratio in AISS ever.

Hey hey, the post came though and it showed up today:

A lovely note and a box! (yellow ink doesn't photograph particularly well, as it turns out)

Some Australian hot sauce from Ephphatha's friend's friend who also does some interesting chili-related YouTubing (also I have an Ozzy song stuck in my head from the name, lol). Only tried a couple so far but they're absolutely top notch. Thanks dude! All the best to you in '21.

Oooooh, ominous. I like it.

I have a plan I'm working on to use a reed switch as a kill switch, and put a magnet in the bottom of the fucktopus to activate it. Leave it stuck to the roof when it's parked, put it [somewhere] to have it run.

Biggest problem I can see is that the magnet is going to need to be strong so that it doesn't come off while bouncing over rocks, because that would be ... annoying.

My dream is to have a beater with a “magic/more magic” switch on the front. Leave it parked and when someone fucks with the switch, the bonnet pops, a hand comes out and flicks the switch back.

Kinda like this
