Kinda reminded me of Piccolo training Gohan. It's interesting because its Wakabe just entering into Gamer Mode and seeing "Hey here's my party member who I can make OP if I do everything optimally starting... right... Now!" without actually stopping to think about how painful and traumatic it is to put Sophia through that kind of wringer as she would a character in a video game. Although its also because to Wakabe's perspective, she's already gone through that kind of training so its no big deal to her so it shouldn't be a big deal to anyone else right.

The worst part is that there's quantifiable results so there's not as much gray area for them to argue about abuse. The hype spartan lifestyle and training works by the numbers, but it's it truly worth it?

Kumoko comments that Sophia got some weirdo mutation to end up as a Vampire. (The same observation is likewise made when he appears in LN5 Chapter 2).
