Sports own. Sports are good for you and really helpful to a kids development, even if you're not winning gold medals all over the place. sports are fun but i was never any good at them, except maybe archery which wasn't interscholastic. i went into music instead and ended up in marching band. i guess that was ok but i had to figure out how to not be a fat gently caress on my own. not that the regional culture is very good about it because in hawaii their idea of a linebacker is less "train until you can push a 400-pound dummy sled by yourself" and more "make sure he buys three plate lunches and finishes all of them" and if i'd been in high school sports, today i would definitely have the beetus instead of a normal bmi i went to a small state college so my options were baseball, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse. i kind of regret not at least trying out for the last one because it seems fun, but as was said upthread, it's definitely a sport with a very particular type of playerbase that i am 0% compatible with. for starters off the top of my head im neither white nor born rich
