Thanks mods. I think "He climbed Mt Everest--but, he's gay" is still the #1 all-time blooper. It's a completely absurd non-sequitur, yet it's easy to imagine oneself making a similarly stupid vocal fumble. What's been looping on her mind-tapes? "My co-worker Barry is hot, but he's gay." "My son bought roller skates. Is he gay?" "Barry, why are you gay? Why is my son gay? Was it because his uncle molested him? Barry... I think I'M gay. But I can't just dump my boyfriend and date women. I just can't. Why am I gay? Is my son gay because I'm gay?" "Check your panties!" was new to me, and it doesn't have much depth as a blooper to really ponder, but it, like "he's gay," wins on brevity and execution. A real delight. The unfortunate bit is that blooper reels work best as either curated samplers with commentary by Dick Clark, or vine-length solitary clips. Youtube has mostly longer compilations that don't exactly leave you thirsty. There are a few howlers in there, but half of them are slightly uncomfortable overlong chats or nonbloopers. It's hard to find THAT HOT poo poo in short discrete clips. That said, if you do have a good one of these longer compilations I and others will happily smash play.
