If to live in this style is to be eccentric, it must be confessed that there is something good in eccentricity.

Grimey Drawer
Problem description: I dropped my hard drive like an idiot, and it broke. It was running Windows 7 Professional. I then had the data recovered and put onto an external hard drive. I have the original Windows folder now. The external hard drive doesn't boot, it just has all the files on it. So I got a new internal hard drive and installed Windows 10 Home Edition on it. I'm now trying to figure out how to recover the product key.

I now realize I got the key through my university store back in 2012. The links from the email are broken, and I can't log in to anything. Is it still possible to get a/the product key from one of the files?

Attempted fixes: Everything I try fails. I used Recover Keys, ProduKey, KeyFinder, KeyFinder Plus - the works. I either get all B's, Product Key Not Found, or some error. I don't want to have to pay $30 for some software that may or may not actually work if possible.
