https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8_Uu435y0c this lady fixes broken stoneware using the kintsugi technique and urushi lacquer painted over with gold dust. I find the process very chill |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rL-Po0VnjXk This guy runs a fish hatchery? Or something. Anyway he's got a lot of land and a bunch of dogs and cats and documented building an entire dang house for the cats. In this one he builds a semi-automatic litter box |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm_c8R_oeq8 This guy builds fish tanks and gets some good high definition shots of the life inside of it and all the different plants he puts in for natural greenery. In other videos he shows the feeding process and films carrot slices and things being devoured. He's basically God |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7wAJTGl2gc wordlessly, a man makes a draft furnace out of local materials, using only tools that he made from local materials earlier (if you turn on closed captioning he's got lil notes about what he's doing in each shot but it's not necessary) whole channel is just stuff like that and it's great

Great Chefs of the World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pr_khbGRt0M I like it because it's just great chefs cooking and some interstitial light jazz music. Lots of ambient kitchen noise. A lot of the chefs aren't all that charismatic on camera, but it doesn't matter because they work in actual restaurants for a living. |

Buttchocks posted:Great Chefs of the World: Jesus gently caress, this was my childhood. My Nana had electricity, cable AND a color TV, so when we would go to her house after school I would lay on her living room floor and watch this and wonder why it made my brain feel electric. And then I ended up learning how to make this fancy rear end food and also learned that the woman who narrated a bunch of these episodes, Mary Lou Conroy, is 93 now. Also there's a website with videos linked and the recipes: https://greatchefs.com/ This was literally my ASMR type thing as a kid. Still is, basically, along with videos of ladies in Peru spinning and weaving (these are just video calls with relatives that make me space out bc they are chill). |
