if you could go back in time you'd end up floating in space because the earth has moved from where it was in the past

John Conway's "Game of life" is a very simple rule set that can create unpredictable and complex patterns. You can make designs and watch things happen as the pattern evolves, it's kind of fun especially from a 1970s perspective where it was either this or pong. https://playgameoflife.com/ However, the Game of Life also happens to be Turing Complete, which you can read a lot about in wikipedia articles and neal stephenson novels. Among other things means that you can program Conway's game of lie within Conway's game of life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xP5-iIeKXE8

The human body is tubes. If any of your tubes get blocked (digestive system, airway, blood vessels) you will die horribly and painfully. And yet we're the only species with nukes, and every single ancestor you've ever had... is tubes. https://www.britannica.com/science/human-body/Basic-form-and-development posted:In general structure, the human body follows a plan that can be described as a cylinder enclosing two tubes and a rod. This body plan is most clearly evident in the embryo; by birth, the plan is apparent only in the trunk region—i.e., in the thorax and abdomen.

I don't think I'm smart enough to understand strange anymore. it's counter intuitive that when shooting a target from a position either above or below that target, you have to aim bellow the target in both cases. I've read the "gravity distance" explanation and I can't reckon it, maybe I need a youtube video with a lot of bright colors and small words or this is one of those things that was discovered empirically and people cobbled explanations and functional trigonometric formula around it

LIGO is one of the coolest developments of this century imo
