Man, what the fuck, man?
I almost hesitate to call the show an adaptation. There are characters and set pieces that carry through, but so much of what was magical about the show is separated from book by just…orders of magnitude.

(Funnily enough, my favorite part of the book dealt with the author/ex-wife and that was the only part of the show that I wasn’t blown away by)

But others that connected with the book more may have a different opinion.

It's amazing what they can do with computers these days.

I wish I had read the book first because I felt the show was far superior, and I kept waiting for parts of the show to happen in the book and they never did. The book left me disappointed, but maybe just because I found the show superior.

I’m glad I read the book because expecting certain character resolutions kept things very tense because it wasn’t entirely clear how different things were going to go until the very end.

Dang. I was thinking of reading the book but I think this has convinced me otherwise… The show is incredible and I don’t think I’m going find anything to top it in the near future.

Me crush ass to dust

The creators said the show is very much an adaptation of the book the same way the characters reinterpret Shakespeare
