I was a dumb kid and not nearly careful enough about it, I'd open a linen cupboard and dunk the cat across the room straight into the top shelf, or throw her in a ceiling scraping ballistic arc onto a bed. Cat was absolutely ecstatic about it and would run back to get flung again and again. Luck was with us and nothing bad ever happened. If you carefully introduce your cat to the idea, and refrain from being a complete tool about it unlike I was, you might very well end up with a yeetable cat.
