April 6, 1955 Sir, We have completed our review of your draft manuscript entitled World History 1955 to 2022. While it contained many fantastical and imaginative ideas, we had some concerns. In particular, your choice of names for corporations that dominate the future seem silly and unbelievable. Is the reader expected to take seriously such behemoths despite names such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Uber, Verizon, Yahoo!, eBay, and Amazon. Consider names of great modern companies: General Atomics, Westinghouse, Edison Electric, and RKO. Surely the savvy businessman of tomorrow will laugh at the thought of owning shares of Microsoft or purchasing a product from YouTube. I hope these can be amended in future drafts. We will have more notes for you in the comments below. Regards, Time-Life Publishing Review Board
