Problem description: I have recently purchased a new PC, and am trying to install drivers for a 3rd generation Avid Mbox. However, when trying to install the driver, I get these error messages:



The progress bars regress and the drivers will not install.

Attempted fixes: I have downloaded (or attempted to download) Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package to no avail.

Recent changes: This computer is less than a month old.

Operating system: Windows 11

System specs: Dell Inspiron 16 7610, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz. 16GB RAM, 15.7 available.

Location: United States

I have Googled and read the FAQ: Yes - people seem to have this issue when installing iTunes in 2014. I have also contacted Avid (who made the hardware and driver).
