Magghomi studies chromatic theory and application, or the practical use of rainbows. She's used her learning to construct the personal rainbow cannon and also how to use colour for healing. In her spare time, she mostly shitposts on the Internet. It should be noted that she doesn't have any kind of medical license, nor would she every qualify for one as her healing techniques only work for animated plushies like herself. While colours may rejuvenate her, she also has a general lack of bones or organs and thus doesn't matter how many shades of pink and yellow she shines on you, it's not going to make your bones knit any faster. Her controversial "Candy Therapy" is even less successful, as no matter how delicious the treats are when taken orally they generally do harm if inserted into any other opening in the body and especially wounds. In short, Magghomi is a terrible medic, a decent fighter, and gets probated fairly regularly online but she means well and is entertaining company.

The fights are pretty easy to set up and capture; the hard part is the creation (and doing all the data entry for the 140 moves). RPG Maker does the rest. For posting I use imgur since it embeds nicely (both for the monster pictures and video) but it does mean that any fight that takes longer than a minute has to be edited to fit the maximum. Since the requests have quieted down I was considering doing a tourney, but given that there's 85 monsters that could take awhile and I've no idea how entertaining the fights are actually to watch vs. just checking the results. If this thread got really popular my thoughts were to set up a monthly tourney, maybe revise the generator to create a wider range of seeds, and go beyond default assets for settings/animations but I don't think that's going to be worth the effort right now. Setting up randomly generated brackets is probably going to be more trouble than it'd be worth, but I can set-up a mini-tourney thusly: **************** * The Tourney * **************** 1. Pick a monster 2. That monster will randomly fight one of the 85 other monsters, itself included in a mirror match. 3. From there, the monster will go down the list until it hits the last generated one (Cool_Dad) and loop back to the first (Smik) 4. Lose 3 matches and the monster's run is finished. 5. Tourney winner is the monster with the most victories before being eliminated; ties fight for the championship. 6. All previous champions will also be participating. 7. User-selected monsters can be trained, once per poster. Just describe the kind of training you put them through. The results will be an adjustment that can be anything from a stat boost to modifying their strength/weakness to particular typing. I'll have the champions go first on Monday to give people time to choose/train their monster but once that monster enters they're not going to have any more time for training. Sound good?

So I mucked about with putting a tourney fight in with Alpha Champion Norsepal using the rules and the editing was a massive headache because Vegas is a bit stupid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0X8Bm4ylC4 Not sure if the results are worth it, let me know what y'all think. I might practice editing the videos anyway just to develop some video editing skills, but I am not quite sure it was worth the effort.

The video editing was a lot bigger pain in the rear end than anticipated and I think I get why this was one of my least successful art projects. There's a lot of effort into the parts that really aren't all that interesting. I think for the fights to be worth watching they'd have to have custom animations instead of just goofy descriptions and even then at the end of the day the parts that interest people are the designs & outcome without needing to see the "proof".
