I mean, what are your favourite and least favourite seasons of Dragula? I've seen all the previous seasons and I'm watching this one.

the production values are the best they’ve ever been, the floor show themes have been very creative, and they’re devoting a little bit more air time to illustrating the creative process, but the finalists have been obvious from the beginning and the fright feats a little tepid. I’m in because I really like niohuru x but it’s not been as good as the best seasons (4, then 3)

this season of Dragula the floor shows have been a bit less edited; this is a bit of a bummer for me, because i loved how each of them was basically a high-def smash cut videoclip. it really differentiated itself from drag race. now you get a bit of slo-mo but not really the full smash-cut quick edit extravaganza that we got in s3 and s4. i think also generally they've gone for more classic stage lighting, which is great when the costumes are good and dire when they're not
