Really fun show, but I don't think it quite lived up to the card.

Nooj going full geek squashing mode in the top part of the card while extremely funny, did not result in the best matches. Injury to Diamante sucked too.

Good for Mutoh though and lol that he refused to look Naito in the eye while giving him the weakest handshake of all time.

What got the biggest pop of the night?

Also, how loud was the "n... W... o..." -chant when they played the nWo Japan intro?

Biggest pop was definitely Muto bringing Chono in.

Outside of the main event stuff, Suwama and Miu were insanely over

I confidently believe Miu could get over in any promotion at any time just by picking some poor victim up and hurling them around while smiling.

Smile. Win. Yay!

Kiyomiya took four tries to beat Mutoh and Mutoh could barely move, no shot he'd give Okada a challenge

Currently watching the stuff from the show I'm interested, enjoyed the DDT offer match and big lol that Itoh grabbed a mic so the whole dome could hear her cutest in the world thing

Okada's new robes make him look like Inoki, so the guys from NOAH got confused and thought he was an old, and thus they were obligated to have him go over.

I've said it many time before, but I love when a stable is just there to second their guys with no intention of cheating, the All Japan guys facing down the red wall of Kongoh is a powerful visual. I also like that the ramp for the Dome is so long that Kento can do the entire entrance with zero faffing about, his team even came out second

Cyberfight made a lot of money on this show on the backs of NJPW participation. They aren't particularly competitive the rest of the year, especially without Muto. (All the promotions under the CF banner except TJPW have lots of talent but are kind of cold). This is the war fund for the next big push to get their product over.

However, given how Nosawa laid out his own retirement match and the non-Kitomiya non-Kongo roster being absolutely showed up by other promotions' wrestlers, there's a lot about the presentation that needs to be fixed.

SatoshiMiwa
May 6, 2007

What I kinda of figured happened with Kaito/Okada at the dome was that while Okada got heel heat nobody really saw Kaito as a guy that could beat Okada and while he looks like a bigger star outside of NOAH he still doesn't feel like the guy outside of it

OTOH Okada is finally getting close to his god run groove. Really pulling ahead of the field for early wrestler of the year unless you drink the Roman Kool-aid
