atlas shrugged is a lot like those poorly written scam emails in that it has a built in selection mechanism. If you're dumb enough to miss the weird syntax and obvious fakeness of the guy from Nigeria promising you a bunch of money you'll probably fall for the scam. If you can make it through atlas shrugged and you think it's a compelling book or she made some good points you're exactly dumb enough to become a libertarian
