I have a theory that levis etc are making ill-fitting pants on purpose by lowering the rise of the pants while keeping the inseam the same, all in the name of saving on material costs. the attack on mom jeans in the 90s led to the drop crotch of the 00s... which led to skinny jeans that retain the low waistband. pants don't fit on the wait anymore. think about it, another 2" of rise on the waist is like, 5% of the amount of material in the pants?
