We want to go away for a weekend in May, but just somewhere fairly local. Anyone know of any good foodie places in the UK outside of London? We've actually got the Fat Duck booked in June, so not there! But basically any other ideas of somewhere that's nice. Could be for a specific restaurant, or just a good dish or whatever. I'm really just looking for inspiration!

Thanks for any and all ideas you might have!

Not sure where you ended up in May, but for future reference Brighton has lots of great food: https://restaurantsbrighton.co.uk/top-20-restaurants-brighton/

And lots of other stuff worth doing/seeing both in the city and the surrounding areas.

I love you so much for replying! You're absolutely right, too, Brighton is amazing. The only issue with that answer is that we live there!

We ended up in Lisbon, which I couldn't recommend enough, it's such a cool place.
