In Training posted:the last mission in this game is like a 15 minute climb up an enormous shaft filled with small moving platforms and about 20 security guns that will peck you off. After I finally emerged you fall into an empty enormous shaft while the final boss peppers you from 400 yards away with laser weapons. I don't think I have the stomach to ever attempt this level again lol AC1s ending mission is brutal and I never got good enough to feel like i beat nineball legit, it was always just spamming heavy damage attacks and hoping hed walk into them. Then you come across the second nineball afterwards.

Phantasm is interesting, mechanically identical basically, but with way way better mission design already, and you climb the rankings by murdering everyone in the arena. Pretty cool. I've done 3 missions and my completion % is at 20% lol was this thing full price in 1998???? Could you imagine???

getting filtered by another final boss level. at least this time its just an arena w/ no penalty for dying. but after trying like 4 different strategies I just dont know how to beat this thing. seems like a combination of needing a particular weapon set to do damage + just pure RNG if he is going to spam the missile attack. even one salvo kind of ruins your spacing and movement options for the rest of the fight. stupid rear end in a top hat.

just beat the last boss for the liberator of rubicon ending and started ng+. did not expect things to be so different in the second run. game loving owns

just finished chapter 1 and this game is God-damned COOL. looking like a top 3 Fromsoft game already. going with quad legs, linear rifle and grenade launcher for now.

gave up on energy weapons and switched to linear rifles + worm shoulder gun things. just had to land some shots and it died fast.

It's cool though because when you get to it again on ng+ you're so good at the game you'll probably kill it in seconds like a regular badguy, it's so satisfying lol

I went back to energy spam because it's fun but got clotheslined by BALTEUS. He and the final boss just melted against HARRIS+VE-60SNA. NG down.
