My housemate is adorably obsessed with dinosaurs and I've had to listen to her rants many times. So because it would piss her off, Spinosaurus is the best dinosaur and I am glad we keep learning more about it than other dinos.

The 3 year old only wants to eat the pterodactyl shapped ones. 'That's not a real dinosaur!' I plead as I fall into an abyss of half eaten Diplodocus

we all like dimetrodon but it's patently not a dinosaur allosaurus is cool because it turns out it's got the bone structure to just latch on and slam its head back to rip off hunks of meat. it didn't necessarily bite to shear per se. so it might have just run around and bitten large chunks off diplodocuses or whatever and then waited for them to bleed out

I took a Dinosaur course in college and on the first day the professor had a big allosaurus fossil skull on his desk and when he comes in he goes “CHECK THIS OUT” and he lifts it over his head like a strong man, but it was just one of those very realistic looking foam models.

Does this count? They're basically a living velociraptor I was always a fan of deinonychus, which was what the "velociraptors" of Jurassic Park were actually based on.

Has anyone mentioned triceratops yet? Because..triceratops . Like, gtfo rhinos. My brain seems to think there was some kind of debate going on about if all these dinosaurs with head plates were just different stages of triceratopses and that was also cool that we may not have even seen his final form.
