I'm nowhere near the age when people usually start dying, but I was just wondering if it's something I should do anyway. There could always be some kind of accident or some freak event (I'm a bicyclist and pedestrian, so it's something I do think about when I'm outside). I would be leaving my assets to my younger brother, as I don't have any children or a spouse. Here is a total of my assets. What sort of net total value would be an appropriate level to think about seeing an estate lawyer to set up a trust or write a will? If I do so, should I go with a testamentary trust or a living trust? Assets: House $390k (-$268k mortgage) 401k $174k Roth IRA $48k Trad IRA $85k Taxable $131k Marcus Bank High Interest Savings $9k Citibank Savings $8k
