This word has been in the news a lot recently and never fails to get on my nerves. Those assholes over at Merriam-Webster are laughing their asses off at us while they make us sound like a bunch of morons.

I've had enough! The past tense of plea is pled. I know, you know it, we all know it. And I'm sick of pretending otherwise.

Anyone who says "pleaded" is just a stooge for big dictionary. Don't let them fool you.

I’m with you halfway, bleated is weird. Fitting but like, I don’t like it.

Hear me out: we replace the word “pleaded” with the word “please” but you have to say it how Leonard Cohen says it in “im your man”. Cohen’s Please (pleeeeaaaseee)

i mean, sure, on the very surface, but it goes back to the proto-indo-europeans whoever they might have been. germans just observed and named the phenomenon.
