It's come to my attention that poor people do not get labor day off as a paid holiday nor get holiday pay for working on such day. That seems like kind of hosed up but also  America, we gave the upper class people a paid holiday to honor the work of labor, who still has to work or take unpaid time off.

Nobody "celebrates" labor day just like most "holidays" in the US. Sure it''s bullshit that wage slavery is a reason for paid time off for some people but it's not exactly surprising and the least of my problems as a wage slave. I'm much angrier about many other things and I'd rather not be distracted!

I get labor day off but they just made me work on one of my normal days off for the week instead. So it's not really a day off, they just moved it around. Assholes.

I get the day off, and get paid for it. My students do not get paid for it. However, I did not give them homework over the three day weekend. I may be evil, but I'm not that evil.
