I think it's just that going tee-less is the new crackpot theory on how to make this less impossible.

And the solution is to rebalance the equation. A few years ago they made the rule that the kicking team can't overload one side of the field on kickoffs. There should be a comparable rule to restrict how many guys the receiving team can have at the 10 yard distance.
