Christian is an amazing heel but I really loved his babyface run in WWECW as a fighting champion during the dying days of that third brand. The Christian/Orton feud was one of those few times that Orton seemed actually invested in what he was doing, and I loved how each time they fought they'd each adapted to the other to avoid the mistakes that cost them previously. Also was AJ Styles the first wrestler that Christian became a surrogate dad to (albeit a dad that AJ Styles wanted to gently caress)?

Honestly couldn't stand him in any iteration of his career, none of it clicked for me. I hated the TNA stuff, was always weirded out about how oddly colored yellow(?) his skin was when he came back to the Fed around '09 (did he have jaundice or just a bad spray tan?). Serious Xpac heat with me, I can't explain it. His AEW debut was fine, I guess, but his match with Omega really opened my eyes and since his black turtleneck dead father gimmick hit, he's been incredible.

Part of Christian's current gimmick is also flagrant lies about his reign. At the scrum after he beat Darby he also mentioned beating Darby 2-0 for pinfalls, and counted his reign as starting when Luchasaurus got the belt. So I just assume this is another one.

Yes, i agree and I think christian has the most great theme songs. The Brood Theme, 1st Solo theme, Both versions of Just Close Your Eyes, Dale Olivers crazy good Evanesence rip off and the current Micky version.
