Well, I'm still gonna wait for the whole update to come out. ...unless I somehow misread this, and this IS the whole of it.

This is not The Pristine Cut, this is the changes to the ending they were originally planning for The Pristine Cut but decided to push out now since it's done and they didn't see a reason to leave everyone playing with an inferior version of the ending The actual new content (new routes) is still to come

Guys I got my first ending, via the following routes, in this order: Razor, Damsel, Tower, Witch, and Drowned Grey. That first route was certainly a surprise when she got bored halfway through the conversation, turns out "explore" options aren't free actions. Then did Tower just to see what the fuss was about. She's nice. Still, should I bother grinding through all the variations along both the midpoint and the ending, or should I wait for the Pristine Cut?

if there's paths where you want to see what's there, do them. it sounds like pristine cut is primarily adding new paths over modifying existing content so i'm not super sure what you'd get out of waiting i suspect the loaded messaging i'm getting out of the word "grinding" wasn't intentional but i guess just in case, you get nothing out of viewing variations other than your own enjoyment of experiencing the story of those paths. and steam cheevos i guess if you really actually care about that. if you do view it as a chore or something you're forcing yourself through, i don't think there's any compelling reason to not just put it down and play another game (perhaps one that actually does reward "grinding" via some kind of mechanical advantage).
