Fields on the Panthers would be an unmitigated disaster. He has a better running game and receiver group now and can't produce.

At this point i think they trade Fields bc regardless of coaching staff if you get a new rookie QB you'll be able to argue that you should get 2 years to develop him. Basically its in the GM's and coaches best interests to start on a new QB if they want to stick around

The interesting question is, who would gamble on Fields? Falcons seem like an ideal landing spot with a lot of offensive weapons (depending on if Smith is still there of course), might be worth a try on the Seahawks and Raiders, could draw interest from the Steelers, Giants, Commanders, and Vikings depending on how they feel about their QBs. Jets and Browns would be good candidates but lol those franchises are kinda hosed as is.

If theres a team that views him as a starter I'd be shocked. I think there'd be a strong as hell backup market for a project/backup you build up type guy.
