Honestly, for shoot, there's a lot of rumors, most of which are probably untrue, but chances are he was at odds with Tony Khan. The best we got was his aew contract was up and WWE made him an offer that he accepted. And now he wants to finish the story

He kinda sidelined himself in AEW booking to the point where the term "codiverse" was coined because his stories were so seperate to anything else going on, then left to be fed to roman reigns at wrestlemania 39
